In April 2023, residential customers in New Jersey paid an average of 17.37¢ per kilowatthour, up 2.4% on the same month a year earlier (16.97¢). The US average for the month was 16.10¢; New Jersey was 7.9% above that. It ranked 15th highest among the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
