In June 2025, residential customers in Ohio paid an average of 17.50¢ per kilowatthour, up 10.5% on the same month a year earlier (15.83¢). The US average for the month was 17.47¢; Ohio was about the same as that. It ranked 19th highest among the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Residential sales were 4,733,328 MWh, down 1.1% on a year earlier, and the average residential bill for the month was $163.01 on 932 kWh. Weather moves monthly sales far more than prices do, so bills swing with the season.
