In February 2026, residential customers in Ohio paid an average of 17.52¢ per kilowatthour, up 10.7% on the same month a year earlier (15.83¢). The US average for the month was 17.65¢; Ohio was about the same as that. It ranked 18th highest among the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Residential sales were 5,023,775 MWh, up 3.1% on a year earlier, and the average residential bill for the month was $171.75 on 980 kWh. Weather moves monthly sales far more than prices do, so bills swing with the season.
