In September 2023, residential customers in Oregon paid an average of 13.19¢ per kilowatthour, up 12.0% on the same month a year earlier (11.78¢). The US average for the month was 16.27¢; Oregon was 19% below that. It ranked 38th highest among the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Residential sales were 1,285,319 MWh, down 4.4% on a year earlier, and the average residential bill for the month was $91.86 on 696 kWh. Weather moves monthly sales far more than prices do, so bills swing with the season.
