In April 2025, residential customers in Pennsylvania paid an average of 18.96¢ per kilowatthour, up 3.5% on the same month a year earlier (18.31¢). The US average for the month was 17.55¢; Pennsylvania was 8.0% above that. It ranked 15th highest among the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Residential sales were 3,666,969 MWh, down 1.8% on a year earlier, and the average residential bill for the month was $125.70 on 663 kWh. Weather moves monthly sales far more than prices do, so bills swing with the season.
