In May 2025, residential customers in Utah paid an average of 12.60¢ per kilowatthour, up 9.7% on the same month a year earlier (11.49¢). The US average for the month was 17.37¢; Utah was 27% below that. It ranked 50th highest among the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Residential sales were 855,142 MWh, up 8.6% on a year earlier, and the average residential bill for the month was $85.71 on 680 kWh. Weather moves monthly sales far more than prices do, so bills swing with the season.
