In July 2025, residential customers in Utah paid an average of 13.45¢ per kilowatthour, up 7.4% on the same month a year earlier (12.52¢). The US average for the month was 17.45¢; Utah was 23% below that. It ranked 41st highest among the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Residential sales were 1,407,630 MWh, down 5.2% on a year earlier, and the average residential bill for the month was $150.10 on 1,116 kWh. Weather moves monthly sales far more than prices do, so bills swing with the season.
