In September 2025, residential customers in Utah paid an average of 14.12¢ per kilowatthour, up 3.8% on the same month a year earlier (13.60¢). The US average for the month was 18.08¢; Utah was 22% below that. It ranked 41st highest among the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Residential sales were 1,028,883 MWh, up 2.5% on a year earlier, and the average residential bill for the month was $114.68 on 812 kWh. Weather moves monthly sales far more than prices do, so bills swing with the season.
