In July 2026, residential customers in Utah paid an average of 13.12¢ per kilowatthour, down 2.5% on the same month a year earlier (13.45¢). The US average for the month was 18.31¢; Utah was 28% below that. It ranked 49th highest among the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Residential sales were 1,658,263 MWh, up 17.8% on a year earlier, and the average residential bill for the month was $169.51 on 1,292 kWh. Weather moves monthly sales far more than prices do, so bills swing with the season.
