In February 2026, residential customers in Washington paid an average of 14.11¢ per kilowatthour, up 13.2% on the same month a year earlier (12.47¢). The US average for the month was 17.65¢; Washington was 20% below that. It ranked 37th highest among the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Residential sales were 3,727,265 MWh, down 12.7% on a year earlier, and the average residential bill for the month was $153.51 on 1,088 kWh. Weather moves monthly sales far more than prices do, so bills swing with the season.
