In April 2025, residential customers in Florida paid an average of 15.26¢ per kilowatthour, up 4.3% on the same month a year earlier (14.63¢). The US average for the month was 17.55¢; Florida was 13% below that. It ranked 29th highest among the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Residential sales were 9,966,706 MWh, up 8.1% on a year earlier, and the average residential bill for the month was $143.93 on 943 kWh. Weather moves monthly sales far more than prices do, so bills swing with the season.
