In October 2025, residential customers in Florida paid an average of 15.70¢ per kilowatthour, up 10.9% on the same month a year earlier (14.16¢). The US average for the month was 17.97¢; Florida was 13% below that. It ranked 28th highest among the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Residential sales were 11,687,205 MWh, up 1.5% on a year earlier, and the average residential bill for the month was $171.91 on 1,095 kWh. Weather moves monthly sales far more than prices do, so bills swing with the season.
