In March 2025, residential customers in Hawaii paid an average of 41.11¢ per kilowatthour, down 9.4% on the same month a year earlier (45.39¢). The US average for the month was 17.09¢; Hawaii was 141% above that. It ranked 1st highest among the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
