In June 2026, residential customers in Ohio paid an average of 19.19¢ per kilowatthour, up 9.7% on the same month a year earlier (17.50¢). The US average for the month was 18.34¢; Ohio was 4.6% above that. It ranked 19th highest among the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Residential sales were 4,458,308 MWh, down 5.8% on a year earlier, and the average residential bill for the month was $166.81 on 869 kWh. Weather moves monthly sales far more than prices do, so bills swing with the season.
