In June 2025, residential customers in Washington paid an average of 12.96¢ per kilowatthour, up 5.3% on the same month a year earlier (12.31¢). The US average for the month was 17.47¢; Washington was 26% below that. It ranked 48th highest among the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Residential sales were 2,673,792 MWh, up 8.6% on a year earlier, and the average residential bill for the month was $102.17 on 788 kWh. Weather moves monthly sales far more than prices do, so bills swing with the season.
