In July 2025, residential customers in Washington paid an average of 13.45¢ per kilowatthour, up 11.7% on the same month a year earlier (12.04¢). The US average for the month was 17.45¢; Washington was 23% below that. It ranked 42nd highest among the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Residential sales were 2,972,727 MWh, down 1.5% on a year earlier, and the average residential bill for the month was $117.28 on 872 kWh. Weather moves monthly sales far more than prices do, so bills swing with the season.
